An electric bass guitar is used as a resonator to create feedback loops and drony soundscapes that hover between noise and subtle ambient atmospheres. Without touching the actual instrument, the musician creates sounds that are coming to life through the interplay of physical objects, electrical currents and the resonant frequencies of the room.


akasha is the Sanskrit name for the primordial spirit or energy force which, according to Hinduist mythology, creates sound. Since 2021, akasha is the electronic solo project of Margarethe Maierhofer-Lischka.
